Number of days allotted specifically for each subject are 14 days for History and Art & Culture, 11 days for Geography, 11 days for Polity, 10 days for Economy, 9 days for Environment, 7 days for Science & Technology and 18 days for Current Affairs.

Some important tips to prepare for IAS exam in 80 days:

  1. At first, it is recommended to study the subject which has been selected as the optional one by the aspirant. If one prepare for the optional subject properly then they would be confident that 25% marks will surely be secured by them.
  2. The areas from which questions can come in the exam paper can be identified by following the question papers of the previous years. So the aspirants must cover all those important sections of the syllabus.
  3. The last 80 days are the most precious time so the aspirants must utilize this time in a proper way. They should not take most of the days to prepare for a single subject.
  4. Specific number of days must be allotted for all the subjects in the last 80 days and in those specific days, the aspirant must prepare himself/herself for the allotted subject.
  5. The topics that most important for IAS mains must be covered by them by consuming as much less time as they can. 
  6. Aspirants should create their everyday routine in such a manner so that they can follow it properly. Their everyday goals must not be impractical.
  7. A study plan should be created which will be effective for preparing oneself for the UPSC IAS mains.
