About Dogri Language: –

Dogri language, member of the Indo-Aryan group within the Indo-European languages. Dogri is spoken by approximately 2.6 million people, most commonly in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Dogri is descended from Sanskrit, the language of the Vedas. It is an officially recognized language of India.

Dogri Syllabus Subject For UPSC

Dogri is the language provided as a Literature Optional which focuses on the candidates’ understanding of the basic concepts of literature. Candidates who have studied the Dogri literature can opt for it as an optional subject in the IAS (UPSC CSE) Mains Exam.
