Being a Civil Servant

India observed Civil Services Day last year, on 21 April, in remembrance of Sardar Patel’s revered speech to the first community of Indian civil servants. During that address, he named them the Steel Frame, which was built to construct and defend a young country.

Civil service offers an incentive to serve the nation and its people, as do all other jobs which are limited to the organization with which they are employed. If you know the service, you can see why people who opt for IAS are too distracted, even though holding your power and reputation away is still essential.

The selection procedure

Not only do the public services need knowledge, but cracking UPSC often transcends all the rudimentary approaches and finds aspirants with deep passion, loyalty and devotion to the country. UPSC requires correct intuition and the capacity to manage the tough conditions in specific scenarios. Their aim here is to prescribe right attributes, careful decision-making abilities, right judgment.

Through its7 3 well-defined steps, namely Prelims, Mains and Interviews, UPSC examination monitors these social features carefully. Thus, in conjunction with past years’ government schemes and national policies, UPSC examinations are designed to focus on cases and the current affairs and trend issues.
